Restoring Best Buy's Plumbing Infrastructure

The Challenge

Best Buy of Sioux Falls faced persistent backups for years, signaling underlying issues in their plumbing infrastructure. Upon inspection, it became evident that all manholes were cracked and broken, impeding proper flow. The discovery of a 30-foot uphill slope in the 8-inch pipe further compounded the challenge, requiring immediate attention to prevent future disruptions.

The Coreline Approach

Coreline LLC's Trenton Wollman and his team were called upon to address Best Buy's plumbing issues. By employing advanced camera technology, they pinpointed the root causes of the issue. To minimize disruption, Coreline strategically accessed the pipe from the front of the building, ensuring a focused and efficient approach to the task at hand.

The Solution

Coreline's first step involved replacing all cracked and broken manholes in front of the building. However, as the team prepared to install the last manhole, they uncovered the uphill slope in the 30-foot stretch of the 8-inch pipe. They alerted Western Mall management and proceeded to dig up and replace the problematic section, ensuring proper flow and preventing future backups.

Benefits of the Coreline Approach

By replacing the manholes and correcting the pipe's slope, Coreline not only resolved the immediate issue but also mitigated the risk of future disruptions. Importantly, their method minimized disruption to the site, leaving behind only new concrete where holes had been dug. This efficient and thorough intervention underscores Coreline's commitment to providing seamless solutions with minimal impact on businesses and their operations.
